Can you actually make money on the internet without selling anything?? I mean by only having a good website or blog.. ? I know companies will pay to put their ads on your site. But how popular does your site have to be to actually make a little money? Please fill me in.. Thanks

Ya sure…. http://tune.in/freeonlinejobs is a really a good way of making money online being at home.There is no need to pay at front.Just basic knowledge of internet is enough.Further it is much much better than online paid surveys & data entry..Just try it out there is nothing to lose since u r not going to pay..

If you want to earn from advertising, the key is CONTENT — make your content unique, appealing — and this is important — attracts the demographics that advertisers want to reach, which are those with spending power.

- Think of the content you will write — remember, topic is key. Write about topics that will attract people looking to spend money. For example, you’d earn more if you write a site about travel to Europe since your site will attract those looking to visit Europe (e.g. will spend on hotels, tours, airfare, luggages — wide pool of potential advertisers) compared to a site where you discuss your thoughts about the world (unless you are extremely witty and Oprah or Today Show suddenly invites you, chances are slim you’d get advertisers interested in what you have to say).
- Decide what you want — a blog or a website. Blogs can be free and easier to handle; most often have templates that can give you nice looking site. With a website, you have all the flexibility in the world but you need to think of the design
- Get your domain name
- Start writing — and then marketing your site or blog.
When you have several pages up, you can consider applying to Google Adsense. When you’ve built more traffic, you can also apply to banner ad networks and use them together

Yes you can make money with out selling anything. The great part is that you can do it by creating sites around your passions or a popular topic. The amount of traffic that your site gets will determine the click through ratio. What you need is a web host that has the tools to assist you. The web host that I use has a brainstorm tool that will calculate the popularity of your site by the amount of people searching related keywords. I would be happy to share some examples that may help you with yours.

I do. You can create your own content based website on ANY topic that you like, and have it pay you. I started my site in August 2007. I continually add new content to it, and earn a growing income from a number of affiliate sources as well as google adsense.
I sell no products, carry no inventory, basically just wake up in the morning and check my stats. Based on what my site is doing, and what others do at this point in time, I can confidently say that I expect to replace an income by the time I hit the 1 year mark.
My website also has a feature that doubles all my new pages as blog entries. This way I get all the benefits of a blog and a website combined. Viewers can subscribe to my RSS feed and get updated as my site is updated.
I know nothing about html, design, tracking, all that stuff, yet my site, 5 months old, is in the top 1% at alexa, gets 10,000 page views per month, and has a google PR 2.
I build my site myself on the sitebuild it platform, which does everything for me. Block by block builder, hosting, pings the directories, tracks EVERYTHING, assists with SEO, has user forums, basically everything you would ever need to have a website, they do. All for $300 a year.
